Strengths 2.0

I recently re-took the Clifton/Gallup strengths assessment survey, and oddly enough I got almost exactly the same results as I did with their v1 test about 2 years ago. The only difference is in the #5 slot, where I have maximizer now instead of adaptability.
I suppose this means their test is consistent or at least that I am aware enough of the questions already asked to consistently answer to skew the results… but I really tried to answer honestly both times.
Does this mean that I’ve found a use for this yet? Yes, in a way. I think that merely operating on the assumption (or philosophy) that you get more done operating from your strengths leads to way more fruitful discussions than the typical “let’s talk about ‘areas for improvement’”.
Later, maybe I’ll go over each one and examine what it means for me. Then, if that’s fun, I’ll go over the 29 other strengths and see if I exhibit any of those.
